POSITIONING EARLY TO MAKE DOLLARS FROM GINGER VALUE CHAIN

Wow, it was so much fun after the festivity, they was a lot of spending on food, cloths, party, and what have you, I bet the merriment was worth the time. 

Happy New Year, Congratulations, welcome to the year 2017. I believe and see this to be a year with a lot of opportunities in the agricultural value chain sector waiting to exploited.

As we begin 2017, first, imagine that it’s December 2017, imagine that you have to look back into 2017 and reconcile your achievement against your goal, the economy and score yourself. What would you earn in dollars? The opportunities are they, the expertise is available, are you willing to plunge in?    

We are all aware that agriculture value chain is the future of this country. One subsector that I think is worth considering should be the Ginger value chain, it is a subsector that you can earn dollars right here in Nigeria.  

 The big question is which of these value chains are you involved in? There are different ways that you can be a player in the ginger value chain, either from the farming to export process, or you could come into processing, or into warehousing or logistics.

If you are considering going into ginger farming for export purpose, now is the right time to make a move. Foreigners are not satisfied again with buying from farmers, they are going into large scale farming of ginger, especially Indians. So what are waiting for? Another good thing is that is an export incentive that may be paid at the end of the year. So what are you waiting for?
